Diabetes Management

The Dryden Diabetes Centre is here to support and educate patient with diabetes including:

  • Type I
  • Type II
  • Pre-Diabetes
  • Gestational Diabetes

Our Certified Diabetes Educators are equipped to help you with monitoring your blood sugars, make recommendations on adjustments to your insulin, and dietary support to name a few.

We work along side your family doctor or nurse practitioner to ensure you receive continuity of care.

Deha Reimer

Registered Dietitian, C.D.E.

Deha is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. She graduated with a Bachelor of Human Ecology and Foods and Nutrition degree in 1994. Deha completed her General Dietetic Internship in 1995.

Deha has been employed with Dryden Regional Health Centre since 1995 and with the Dryden Diabetes Centre since 2003. She is also a member of the Dietitians of Canada.

Vicki Hutchison

Registered Nurse

Vicki graduated from Northern College as a Registered Nurse in 2004 and has been employed with Dryden Regional Health Centre since her graduation.

Vicki has worked in different areas of the Hospital such as medical surgical unit, maternity, and CCA. In 2019, Vicki starting working with the Dryden Area Family Health Team and the Dryden Diabetes Centre.
